Style Stories: Early Springspiration
Spitalfields shoppers show us what they are wearing from the Market's traders and retailers.
A Thursday Antiques Market regular, Amie’s entire outfit is from the Market. Here’s who’s helping her navigate these early spring days, Spitalfields style…
Vintage Skirt, from Jane at the Thursday Antiques Market
“I love everything on Jane’s stall (@ladyjanesvintagebandwagon), she’s just got the best eye.
I knew I had to have this skirt and have lived in it since buying it a couple of months ago. While it’s been great with tights and boots, in spring I think it will be nice with some colourful socks and I am excited for it to be warm enough to wear it with sandals”.
Vintage Burberry Jacket, from Caroline at the Thursday Antiques Market
“Macs are perfect for this time of year where you still need a coat but you want something lighter.
I had been looking for a Burberry one and while they hold their value, this was a bit of a bargain at the Market last week”.
Damson Madder Fruit Straw Bag, from Mercantile London
“Mercantile have so many stunning spring pieces in and I am a sucker for the fruit theme that is creeping in at the moment.
I got this bag as I thing it adds some colour while the weather is still grey but will work for summer too – and I have got my eye on some bright cherry earrings in there”.
Orange Jumper, from American Vintage
“Today I cam hoping to buy a nice bright jumper as while the weather’s still not great, I think my wardrobe needs a bit of a spring uplift.
This bright orange jumper is in the sale at American Vintage and is just the thing – although their whole spring collection is so colourful I would quite like the whole lot”.
