New Opening: Fortune Fried Chicken
Thai fried chicken from the people behind GunPowder and the Begging Bowl in Peckham
We are beyond excited to announce a very special new street food opening:
Fortune Fried Chicken is a collaboration by two legends of the London food scene – Harneet Baweja, the man behind Gunpowder and executive Chef Jane Alty, one of the founders of The Begging Bowl in Peckham are coming together to bring Fortune Fried Chicken to the people of Spitalfields.
Inspired by a fried chicken dish that originated on the streets of Bangkok, the chicken here is first marinated overnight in a blend of soy, fish sauce, garlic, and coriander. It’s then coated with rice flour and slow deep-fried with the aim to create a thin, crispy skin while keeping the chicken tender.
Find them in the street food row at the Lamb Street side of the market from the 2nd May.
Look out on their socials for news of their pre opening giveaway.
