Escape the City:
Rapha Clubhouse Rides
Enjoy a Sunday spin to London’s finest surrounding roads from this East End cycle hub.
The weekend social starts at the Spitalfields store at 8.00am, heading out for a gentle 80-100km no-drop spin (this means they won’t leave you behind) into the home counties.
Rapha recommends the complimentary ride for those new to cycling and looking to explore new roads and improve their group riding skills and etiquette. All routes use quiet A and B roads, however there may be occasions where the group rides on busier roads especially on entering and leaving London.
“There is an irresistible energy that takes over the clubhouse whenever a ride returns to the cafe — everyone is energised by their efforts”
If you would prefer to dodge the testosterone, there is a dedicated Women’s Clubhouse Ride on the third Saturday of the month. Heading out from Spitalfields to the quieter roads of Essex with a pre-ride coffee and social. The distance is approximately 80km at a pace of 23kph.
Each ride has a limit of 8 spaces and is led by Rapha Ride Leaders. You’ll need to pre-register and if the run is smooth, expect to be back at the clubhouse for 1.30pm.
